The Central Supply Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the Central Supply department and staff.
Oversees the ordering, storage, sterilization, and distribution of Hospital supplies and equipment needed for Hospital use and patient care.
This position must integrate company values into daily practice.
Recruitment for this position is targeted to begin during March/April 2023!
Essential Functions:
Maintains adequate inventory levels to fulfill the needs of the hospital; ensures each department is stocked as necessary.
Ensures that stock is rotated and handled according to department protocols and standards.
Receives supplies and processes according to policy which includes checking against the purchase order, tagging of merchandise, stocking or delivering to the appropriate department.
Ensures that appropriate practices and methods are maintained according to manufacturer recommendations, departmental policies, and in compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies and professional associations.
Maintain appropriate documentation, filing and storage of records, reports, purchasing requisitions, etc.
Manage open orders, backorders, etc.
by following up with vendors as needed.
Responsible for inventory control and records of Central Supply Room.
Conducts cycle counts and periodic physical inventories as required.
Works with multiple vendors to obtain the best price and quality for purchases.
May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.
Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.
Minimum Job Requirements Minimum Education &
Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Two years' experience in inventory management preferred.
Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation:
Must maintain acceptable driving record, current driver's license, and insurability.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with supply and warehousing systems.
Demonstrates proficiency with general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills:
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection prevention standards.
Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift:
A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to hear overhead pages.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
